Registration 2024-25

New student registration for the 2024-25 school year opens February 1 at 9 a.m.
Returning student registration for the 2024-25 school year opens February 8 and 9 a.m.

If your child currently attends James Mowat Elementary:

• Complete your child's returning student registration form to secure their spot at James Mowat Elementary next year.
• Returning student registration takes place Feb. 8-21, 2024.

If you have one or more children currently attending James Mowat who will be back next year and another child who will attend James Mowat for the first time in 2024-25—for example, a sibling starting kindergarten next year:

• Complete the returning student registration forms for all current James Mowat students.
• Complete the new student registration form for the sibling as soon as possible. New student registration, including kindergarten registration, opens February 1 at 9 a.m.
• To guarantee the sibling's spot at James Mowat Elementary, the new student registration form must be submitted by March 8, 2024.
• If the sibling's new student registration form is submitted on or after March 9, 2024, they will be directed to the alternate-designated school, Fort Saskatchewan Elementary—unless space remains available in a particular grade at James Mowat Elementary.

If your family is brand new to James Mowat Elementary, and you live within the school's designated attendance area:

• Complete the new student registration form for your child as soon as possible. New student registration, including kindergarten registration, opens February 1 at 9 a.m.
• To ensure your child's registration is considered in the random selection process*, the new student registration form must be submitted by March 8, 2024.
• The school will contact you prior to spring break 2024 to advise of the outcome of the random selection process* and confirm where your child has been registered for the 2024-25 school year.
• All new student registrations submitted on or after March 9, 2024 will be directed to the alternate-designated school, Fort Saskatchewan Elementary—unless space remains available in a particular grade at James Mowat Elementary.
